US-based Catbridge has developed a new modular duplex slitter rewinder system for the flexible packaging market.
Created in the company’s facility in Montville, New Jersey, US, the new 900-M duplex centre winder will allow Catbridge to expand its new converting machinery portfolio.
Capable of functioning continuously, the 900-M winder helps operators save time during production.
Catbridge said that the low-maintenance solution could be used to support various primary films, flexible packaging laminations, and paper products.
The winder features a variety of slitting methods and unwind options, and can be configured according to specific customer requirements.
Catbridge president Michael Pappas said: “The 900-M is a performance-meets-value machine.

By GlobalData“All the high performance and features you expect from a Catbridge are packaged for this industry at an attractive price.”
In September, Catbridge Machinery unveiled a new surface slitter rewinder, which helps increase productivity and safety.
The Model 215 rewinder reduces cycle time, yields greater throughput per shift, and provides a comprehensive safety system to operators.
Compared to traditional surface winders, the new machine allows nearly twice as many jumbo rolls to be processed in a shift.
The system offers shaftless floor pickup unwind capabilities, high-capacity hydraulic systems, web threading and core placement assists, core stop presets, and a streamlined finished-roll discharge process.
