US-based company Green Bottling has selected Redimark’s TC12 thermal inkjet (TIJ) coder to improve efficiency and save costs.
As part of the deal, Green Bottling will use the TIJ machine to code craft beer bottle labels at various breweries. Featuring a touch screen tablet controller, a thermal inkjet print head with cartridge-based ink, flexible mounting options, and RediNET wireless connectivity, the Redimark TC12 allows users to change printing direction and date codes quickly.
Green Bottling co-owner Mike Weksler said: “Since we began using the Redimark TC12, we have been able to save one and a half to two hours every day. We used to spend that much time just setting up and breaking down the costlier small character date coders we previously used.
“The TC12 is not only saving us time and money, but also saving our customers time as well.
“The fact that we’re able to simply go online and order the exact equipment we need without a middleman is just an added bonus.”
Currently, the company has two TC12s and is planning to buy a third machine of the type.
Redimark brand evangelist Dean Hornsby said: "Routine maintenance and difficulty with short-run product changeover that the company experienced with their previous date coders added unwanted time to their in-field bottling service. With the TC12, Green Bottling no longer experiences these issues.”
The company currently provides coding and marking solutions for use in various materials, including plastics, paperboard materials, bags, pouches and films, labels, and aluminium.
