US-based packaging and processing machinery and solutions provider Pro Mach has acquired Canada-based Zarpac for an undisclosed sum.

The deal has led to the formation of a new company, named Pro Mach Integrated Solutions Group.

Pro Mach aims to become an integrated packaging solutions provider and a single-source provider of high-performance packaging lines.

"Consumer packaged goods and pharmaceutical companies large and small are looking for competitive advantages that help them produce and package their products more efficiently."

Zarpac designs and builds packaging line systems, performance diagnostics software and material-handling solutions, as well as carries out robotics testing and integration, mechanical and electrical engineering, project management, technical training and productivity support.

With offices in Canada, the US, and China, Zarpac serves customers across North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia Pacific.

Pro Mach global filler and integrated solutions president Barry Heiser said: “Many of our customers are looking for a full service partner that will help them simplify line development, achieve optimum performance, reduce risks, simplify line control, and better manage costs throughout the design, build, and production lifecycle.
