Lithuanian food producer Viciunai Group has selected RPC Superfos's EasySnacking pack for its range of surimi sticks and fish salads.

The pack's special spoon in the lid makes the new VICI salads range ideal for eating on-the-go.

The range includes a variety of surimi and herring combinations, such as surimi sticks with shrimps in white sauce, and Atlantic herring fillets in a mushroom sauce.

"We wanted a new type of pack for our new range of salads, and the 210ml EasySnacking appealed to us."

Viciunai Group packaging category purchasing manager Erda Jurgaityte said: “We wanted a new type of pack for our new range of salads, and the 210ml EasySnacking appealed to us.

“The solution is completely new on our market and one of the biggest advantages of the package is the integral spoon, which is smooth and pleasant to touch.”

The EasySnacking pot is easily opened by removing a self-adhesive label on the top of its plastic lid.

Said to offer convenience and functionality, the pot is re-closable and optimised for stacking, and has won awards from Scan Star and the Foodservice Packaging Association (FPA).

The VICI salad range is available in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland and the Czech Republic, and will soon be available in Bulgaria.

Viciunai Group is also intending to launch a larger size, allowing customers to choose between a 150g and 250g pack.
