Multifunctional digital cutting systems producer Zünd is planning to present its new ultra high-performance digital cutting system at Drupa 2016 in Messe Düsseldorf, Germany.
The launch is in response to increasing demand from packaging manufacturers and print service providers.
Zünd's new cutter is expected to double production throughput, while retaining output quality. The machine employs various technologies to provide flexibility in handling a range of materials.
The company plans to showcase the cutter and the board handling system (BHS) for fully automated board loading and unloading.
Zünd also plans to launch various high-productivity finishing solutions, including digital cutting solutions and intelligent automation at the event from 31 May to 10 June.
In addition, the company will present Zünd S3 with an automatic sheet feeder at Drupa. The S3 automation production system provides QR-code capture capabilities for automatic file retrieval. It also features a robot for automatic off-loading and stacking.
Zünd will exhibit its Zünd cut centre (ZCC) user-friendly software suite designed to function as a virtual control centre for the entire digital finishing process.
Zünd product manager graphics Lars Bendixen said: "Our digital cutting solutions make up a significant portion of overall productivity increases.
"However, just as importantly, the trend towards automation, involving different phases of production also demands seamless data flow.
"By combining the new Zünd ultra high-performance cutter with modular automation solutions and Zünd Cut Center, ZCC software, we can offer obvious added value to customers looking to make their production both more efficient and more profitable."
