Al-Shamrani, a Saudi Arabian producer of polyethylene (PE)-based flexible packaging, has announced an investment in a new BOBST Vision CI flexo press.

The move forms part of Al-Shamrani’s efforts to update its production capabilities and boost capacity.

Established in 1994, Al-Shamrani has developed its operations through investments exceeding SR120m ($31.96m).

The company’s 25,000m² facility operates 28 integrated production lines and employs more than 120 staff.

Al-Shamrani caters to the food market and prints on various substrates, including PE, polypropylene (PP), laminate, biaxially oriented PP, and cast PP products.

Al-Shamrani general manager Ali Muhammad Al-Mashmarani said: “In 2019, we bought our first BOBST machine, an EXPERT CI flexo press.

“Now that we’ve seen the stability and performance it brings to our production workflows, when it came time to add a new machine to our lineup, we knew that BOBST was the right partner for this. BOBST has a great reputation within the industry, and the quality of its products backs that up.”

Designed to be efficient across a broad range of production lengths and substrates, the BOBST Vision CI flexo press is suitable for converters who are looking for a reliable and cost-effective flexographic production tool.

The Vision CI press' highly modular design ensures quick installation and start-up, aligning with the needs of packaging converters for streamlined operations.

Last month, BOBST unveiled a range of new solutions to empower customers in the ever-evolving packaging landscape.
