Packaging solutions company Amcor is expanding its printing, lamination and converting capabilities in North America to serve the protein packaging market.

Increased production is expected through the first half of 2026.

The investment, one of Amcor’s largest to date, will add new equipment and increase forming and non-forming packaging capacity for meat, poultry and seafood customers.

The project aims to support the transition to more sustainable packaging solutions, including its recycle-ready AmPrima materials.

Amcor Flexibles protein division global vice-president and general manager Scott Fallon stated: “This investment reflects Amcor’s long-term strategy for growth in the protein market and our continued leadership in developing the next generation of high-performance and sustainable packaging.

“By investing in our capacity and strengthening our network, we’re empowering our customers to grow with confidence, meet evolving market demands and lead the transition toward a more innovative and responsible future for protein packaging.”

The company produces consumer packaging and dispensing solutions across the nutrition, health, beauty and wellness categories, operating more than 400 locations in 40 countries.

In early November 2025, Amcor published its first quarter results, reporting growth in profit and reaffirming its earnings outlook for fiscal 2026.

The company’s net income stood at $262m in the quarter ended 30 September 2025, up from $191m in the same period a year earlier, while net sales soared 68% year-on-year to $5.74bn at constant currency.

For fiscal 2026, the company forecast adjusted earnings per share in the range of 80 to 83 cents.
