Conductive Containers (CCI), a manufacturer of electrostatic discharge (ESD) packaging products, has appointed Steve Wyres as vice-president of sales and marketing.

The appointment carries responsibility for commercial functions related to the company and its subsidiary Crestline Plastics that was acquired in 2023.

In his new position, Wyres will oversee regional sales managers, business development, and customer service.

According to CCI, bringing these functions together under one leadership structure is intended to enhance internal coordination and underpin growth in “high-consequence applications”.

Wyres joins the business as it progresses a multiyear expansion strategy initiated after CCI’s partnership with private equity company Great River Capital Partners in 2021.

Wyres said: “I am excited to join CCI at such an important moment. With their longstanding leadership in ESD-safe and optics packaging through Crestline, broad material capabilities, and vertically integrated manufacturing operations, both organisations are uniquely positioned to support customers operating in critical-use environments.”

Before joining CCI, Wyres held senior sales roles at Colder Products Company, a Dover Corporation subsidiary.

His background includes work on updating sales processes, building scalable customer support structures, and managing teams throughout the Americas.

CCI CEO Séamus Lafferty said: “We are very pleased to welcome Steve to Conductive Containers. His disciplined, customer-centric approach and proven commercial leadership make him an excellent addition as we continue expanding our capabilities and supporting customers across the electronics, optics, aerospace, defence, and medical device markets.”

CCI and Crestline operate US production sites in Maple Grove, Minnesota, and Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Their manufacturing capabilities include thermoforming, injection moulding, foam fabrication, conductive corrugated products, and multi-substrate assembly.
