Global packaging company TricorBraun has named Kevin Weadick as its president and CEO, effective 5 May 2025.

In his new role, Weadick will be responsible for leading the company's international operations and executing its strategic priorities.

He will be taking over from Court Carruthers, who is stepping down after serving eight years in the role.

Commenting on the appointment, Weadick said: “I'm honoured to join TricorBraun at such an exciting time in the company's journey. This business has a proud legacy, a strong culture, and an incredibly talented team.

“As we look ahead, my focus will be to build on the great momentum already in place to drive strong, sustainable growth, deliver exceptional service to our customers, and keep investing in the development of the best team in packaging.

“I'm energised by the opportunities ahead and excited to work alongside this team to shape the next chapter of growth and innovation for our team members and investors.”

Most recently, Weadick held the position of CEO at FleetPride, a distributor of aftermarket truck and trailer parts.

He has also held senior positions with Grainger in both Europe and North America, as well as Zoro, a digital supply platform under Grainger focused on serving small and medium-sized businesses.

Meanwhile, Carruthers will remain with TricorBraun as vice-chair and continue to sit on the board. This is aimed at supporting a smooth leadership transition.

Since 2017, the company tripled both its revenue and EBITDA under Carruthers' leadership and completed 30 acquisitions. TricorBraun also grew its presence across Europe and the Asia Pacific region.

The company further entered new packaging sectors, including aluminium containers, industrial solutions, and flexible materials.

Carruthers said: “It has been a privilege to serve alongside such an exceptional and dedicated group of 2,300 TricorBraun team members these last eight years.

“I have had the pleasure of knowing Kevin for more than 15 years and look forward to supporting him and the entire TricorBraun team on this important next stage of the journey.”

Founded in 1902, TricorBraun’s offerings include glass bottles and jars, plastic bottles and jars, metal cans, caps and closures.

Earlier this month, TricorBraun acquired Euroglas and Glaspack, distributors of rigid packaging in Germany and Austria.
