Film shrink wrappers supplied by SMI, suitable for packing loose plastic, metal, cardboard or glass containers and already made packs, can be divided into six categories:
- AFW ERGON series: equipped with a 90° product infeed conveyor and suitable for packing in film only, cardboard pad + film, cardboard tray, cardboard tray + film, with production requirements up to 40 packs per minute
- ASW ERGON series: equipped with a 90° product infeed conveyor and suitable for packing in film only, with production requirements up to 80 packs per minute
- LSK ERGON series: is suitable for packing in film only, cardboard pad + film, cardboard tray, cardboard tray + film , with production requirements up to 40 packs per minute in single lane (80 in double lane)
- LSK SF ERGON series: is suitable for production requirements up to 30 packs per minute and packaging in film only
- CSK ERGON series: is suitable for packing in film only cardboard pad + film, tray only, cardboard tray + film, with production requirements up to 50 packs per minute in single lane (100 in double lane)
- SK ERGON series: is suitable for packing in film only, cardboard pad + film, tray only, cardboard tray + film, with production requirements up to 450 packs per minute in triple lane
All these packers stand out for their operational flexibility: SMI machines can pack a wide range of products in several pack collations, in order to fully meet the customers’ current and future requirements. Moreover, they are not equipped with gearboxes: motors are directly connected to the drive shafts, with subsequent reduction in maintenance, energy consumption and noise.
