
Swedish packaging and take-away solutions provider Duni has acquired 75% shares in sustainable disposable packaging products supplier Biopac UK from entrepreneurs Mark Brigden and Eric Graham.
Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed by both the companies.
Brigden said: “The capacity to customise food and drink packaging to suit customer brands and a clear focus on sustainable products has resulted in Biopac gaining significant market share throughout the UK.
“The added resources available through this step with Duni will support us in continuing on our growth journey in coming years.”
Founded in 2002, Biopac supplies disposable packaging for the UK food and beverages segments with a focus on sustainable products. It has an approximate annual turnover of Skr55m ($6.79m).
The acquisition is said to complement Duni’s business strategy.

Based in Malmö, Duni supplies table-setting concepts and packaging solutions to more than 40 markets worldwide.
The company’s production units are located in Sweden, Germany, Poland, New Zealand and Thailand.
