FP International has announced the launch of a new packaging machine, which produces a range of air cushions to protect products such as electronics and cosmetics during shipping.

The new POWER PAK’R offers an enhanced alternative to products such as paper or bubble wrap, said the company.

The air cushions produced by POWER PAK’R provide optimal protection within the supply chain.

According to the company, the new packaging machine can produce a range of individual air cushions, which can be either cuboid to fill all the voids in a box or ultra wide to totally envelope a product.

Made from recycled material, the POWER PAK’R air cushions comply with EN13427 standards, and each different item that is shipped can have its own specific air cushions.

The machine’s ‘plug and play’ functionality is said to make producing air cushions easier than before.

The machine can produce up to 36m per minute of air cushions, which represents 2m³ every three minutes.

FP International claims that the machine has the capability to produce wrapping for up to 30 packages a minute.

The POWER PAK’R, which can be continually updated during its working life through its modular construction, has been designed especially to work with automatic delivery systems.
