Aptar Beauty has worked with L’Occitane-En-Provence on a custom dispensing pump for the latter’s updated hand care line.
The pump was created to fit the revised look of the collection, which draws on the brand’s apothecary background.

It is based on Aptar Beauty’s Satine platform and intended for refillable packaging.
L’Occitane-En-Provence has redesigned its 350ml and 500ml hand care bottles, offered in glass and plastic, so they can be refilled and reused.
The dispensing pump uses a 24/410 screw-on neck finish and is set to deliver a 500-microlitre dose for cleaner and more measured use.
Its actuator and collar were enlarged to fit the broader bottle shape.
The wider pressing area is intended to make the product easier to use, including for people with limited hand mobility.
The pump is finished in black to match the rest of the range.
Aptar Beauty also developed a system intended to keep the pump aligned with the bottle when unlocked for use.
Production of the pump takes place in France, with moulding and decoration in Oyonnax and final assembly in Le Neubourg.
Aptar said the finished product was delivered in less than a year.
Aptar Beauty EMEA Custom sales director Benjamin Girard said: “Our co-creation approach to custom development takes advantage of our technical expertise and manufacturing synergies to create unique pumps that support brand differentiation and product inclusivity.”
Last month, Aptar introduced NeoDropper Autoload, an auto-loading dosing dropper, in its first commercial application with Dermalogica’s FutureCode Booster.
