Guangzhou Shangpin Packaging Products (Sprintpackage) has transferred its manufacturing operations to a 20,000m² site in Guangzhou’s Baiyun District in China.
The paper tubes and packaging manufacturer relocated to increase production capacity. It added that the move has raised annual output to between two and three times its previous level.

The facility contains six automated lines covering the production stages from tube winding and slitting to paper mounting, curling and assembly.
Equipment installed ahead of the opening included automated winding machines, paper mounting systems, rotary curling equipment and high-speed assembly machinery.
Sprintpackage said automation accounts for more than 80% of its operations at the new plant.
Daily output is reported at 200,000 to 300,000 units, serving buyers mainly in Europe and the Middle East across food, cosmetics and health supplement packaging applications.
The company has worked with more than 10,000 clients since 2014. It also supplies customised paper tubes to more than 500 international sushi chains.
The new factory expects to ship ten million to 15 million sushi tubes annually.
According to the company, the sushi tube products are certified under the EU’s EC1935/2004 food-contact requirements and the GFSI-recognised BRC Global Standard for Packaging.
