CDF Corporation has introduced the Squiz System to the North American market, adding an automated liner evacuation option for intermediate bulk containers (IBCs).
The equipment is intended to reduce product left inside liners after an IBC has been emptied, an issue that can lead to repeated material losses in liquid manufacturing.

This is particularly relevant for thick, slow-flowing products that adhere to the liner and do not fully discharge through conventional pumping.
Over repeated container use, the remaining volume can create an ongoing financial cost.
CDF said an average of 0.1 to 0.2% of product remains after dispense when the Squiz System is used. In manufacturer trials involving thick cosmetic creams, waste per liner was reduced by as much as 96%.
The system operates through a controlled winding process, drawing the liner down from the top during dispense in coordination with the plant pump so that product is directed towards the dispense valve.
It uses a standard plant compressed-air connection on a dedicated line and does not require operator involvement during dispense.
Automatic pressure cut-offs and an emergency stop are included.
The unit is mounted on a stainless-steel frame with locking castors, allowing it to be moved between production lines without fixed installation or an electrical connection.
The Squiz System was developed by Liquidpack in Onda, Spain, and has been used in European manufacturing operations.
CDF is introducing the equipment in North America alongside its form-fit liner, with manufacturing and support handled from Plymouth, Massachusetts, US.
