German firm Henkel Adhesive Technologies has announced a new technical centre of excellence for flexible packaging adhesives and coating applications in Bridgewater, New Jersey, US.
In a move to support converters and brand owners, the new centre will feature labs for evaluation, design and testing, full-scale equipment, and customer training facilities. It will also focus primarily on the company’s Loctite adhesive and coatings.

The company’s Loctite products deliver flexible packaging solutions, which comply with the FDA and global food safe packaging regulations and assure secure and sustainable packaging for consumers.
The company expects to complete the construction of the new facility late this year.
Henkel Adhesive Technologies vice-president Alejandro Schoenhoff said: “Our Technical Center of Excellence, with its expanded capabilities, will allow our team of technical service and product development experts to optimise our packaging technologies.
“Being able to demonstrate the latest adhesive and coating applications in-house gives our customers an opportunity to see the benefits of a new solution before full-scale implementation.
