US-based Tekni-Plex has purchased BrunaSeals, an induction seals and foam closure liners manufacturer, for an undisclosed sum.
With the completion of the deal, BrunaSeals will become part of Tekni-Plex’s global closure liners business unit, Tri-Seal.

BrunaSeals president and founder Juan Brun will support Tri-Seal in the company’s future business development efforts.
Established in 1986, BrunaSeals currently provides embossing, printing, foil stamping, die cutting, removal and closure lining solutions for the beverage, cosmetics, pharma, household, and industrial chemical sectors.
The company’s core induction seal and foam closure liners are marketed under the ProTecSeals brand.
Tri-Seal senior vice-president and general manager David Andrulonis said: “BrunaSeal’s expertise in supporting the Latin American market place, coupled with its innovative product line, will help further expand the global Tri-Seal closure liner business.

In the last three years, Tekni-Plex acquired three closure liner businesses, Sancap and Tech-Seal in the US and Ghiya Extrusions in India.
Tekni-Plex’sTri-Seal division currently produces closure liners and seals for glass, metal and plastic containers and has manufacturing facilities across the globe.
With 30 manufacturing sites across eight countries worldwide, the business is engaged in the development and manufacturing of new packaging materials, medical compounds, and precision-crafted medical tubing solutions.
