A joint venture (JV) between Petainer UK Holdings and Innopac Containers has opened a new plastic packaging solutions manufacturing facility near Mumbai, India.
The Petainer Innopac Packaging JV was formed earlier this year to introduce PET/plastic packaging solutions to brand owners in India.
The new facility uses Petainer’s advanced polymer engineering technology to provide sustainable PET/plastics packaging solutions.
At the plant, the company’s PetainerCooler 20l bulk water cooler jar is blow-moulded. Preforms for the facility’s output are supplied from Petainer’s manufacturing sites in Europe.
The facility features an on-site design studio, laboratory services and warehousing.
Petainer Innopac Packaging managing director Atit Bhatia said: "The plant and its strategic location supports our ambitious growth plans for the region."
