The value marked an increase of 151.9% over the previous month and a rise of 130.5% when compared with the last 12-month average of $991.26m.
In terms of number of deals, the sector saw a rise of 7.1% over the last 12-month average with 30 deals against the average of 28 deals.
In value terms, Europe led the activity with deals worth $1.89bn.

The combined value of the top five packaging deals stood at $2.2bn, against the overall value of $2.28bn recorded for the month.
