Operating from Mound, Minnesota, Ultra Green develops and supplies a proprietary catalogue of fibre-based containers and rPET [recycled polyethylene terephthalate] packaging lids.
The company distributes products into the foodservice, grocery, and institutional sectors, with a moulded fibre portfolio that includes bakeware and sushi trays.
ACR CEO Scott Milberg said: “Customer demand for sustainable packaging solutions continues to grow across the foodservice and grocery channels, and Ultra Green strengthens our ability to meet that need.
“Their moulded fibre capabilities and compostable packaging credentials complement our existing portfolio well, and we look forward to bringing these solutions to a broader base of grocery and retail customers.”
The transaction incorporates Ultra Green’s moulded fibre capabilities directly into ACR’s PrimeWare product line.
ACR said it adds to its inventory of compostable and sustainable packaging formats through the integration while broadening its reach across retail and grocery client accounts.
Ultra Green Packaging owner and president Kristin Davidson said: “Since assuming ownership of Ultra Green, our primary objectives have been to deliver high-performing packaging solutions, provide unparalleled customer service, and adhere to rigorous sustainability standards.
“Joining ACR enables us to extend this commitment to a broader customer base while continuing to uphold the exceptional service, quality, and compliance standards upon which our business was established.”
Davidson and several management team members will remain actively engaged in business operations.
Legal representation for ACR was provided by Greenberg Traurig. Ultra Green engaged Tamarack Advisory Partners as financial adviser, with legal counsel delivered by Taft.
