US-based labelling company Brook + Whittle has entered an agreement to acquire custom label manufacturer Paradigm Label for an undisclosed sum.

Based in Mira Loma, California, Paradigm Label focuses on supplying flexible packaging, pressure-sensitive labels and shrink sleeves.

The company also works directly with companies to identify the most suitable label solutions for their brands.

The addition is intended to bolster Brook + Whittle’s presence in the US’ West Coast region and expand its e-commerce operations.

Following the acquisition, the company will have nine production facilities and employ more than 1,200 people, serving more than 4,000 customers in total.

Brook + Whittle CEO Mark Pollard said: “Paradigm Label further strengthens our West Coast presence and our ability to deliver the fastest lead times in the industry.

“We are thrilled to have another location in California to support our growing customer base and excited to welcome another great team to our business.”

Paradigm Label founder Curtis Harton said: “We are very excited to join the Brook + Whittle team.

“We share very similar company cultures, focused on delivering value through exceptional customer service, print quality, product innovation and talented employees.”

Brook + Whittle offers pressure-sensitive labels, shrink sleeves, flexible packaging and other prime label solutions products, focusing on sustainability, complex decoration and digital printing.

Based in Guilford, Connecticut, the company particularly specialises in flexographic, rotogravure and digital printing.

It was bought by private equity firm Genstar Capital in November last year.

Last April, Brook + Whittle acquired California-based labelling company Digital Label Solutions (DLS) in an effort to strengthen its West Coast presence.

DLS specialises in the short-run digital printing of custom and complex pressure-sensitive and shrink sleeve labels for the household, personal care and food and beverage markets.
