US-based reusable packaging company Tosca has been awarded the prestigious EcoVadis Platinum Medal, which was awarded as a testament to its dedication and continuous sustainability initiatives in Europe and the UK.

This puts them in the top 1% of the 90,000 businesses rated by EcoVadis, an annual provider of business sustainability ratings, intelligence, and collaborative performance improvement tools for global supply chains.

The ranking is based on four key areas: Environment, Ethics, Human and Labour Rights, and Sustainable Procurement. Particular strides were made in the areas of Human and Labour Rights and Sustainable Procurement where scores of 80% were reached.

Tosca sustainability director Karin Witton said: “It is a true honour to receive EcoVadis’ top rating of Platinum and have our unwavering commitment to continuous improvement and ESG management independently recognised as something that is firmly embedded in our culture.”

“We are proud to have progressed from Silver to Platinum in just two years, and have our work in Environmental Management, Labour and Human Rights, and Sustainable Procurement acknowledged.

Last year, Tosca and Loop partnered to engage in sustainability forums and work to increase consumer education to drive the adoption of reuse.
