High impact printed packaging solutions provider Fortis Solutions has acquired Canadian company Profecta Labels.

Based in St-Hubert, Quebec, Profecta Labels manufactures flexographic and digital solutions of labels and flexible packaging printing.

The company serves industrial, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and food and beverage end-markets in North America.

Financial terms of the transactions have not been disclosed.

Fortis president and CEO John Wynne, Jr said: “We are excited to extend our footprint to Canada and partner with Pierre Roberge and his talented team to deliver additional solutions and capabilities to our customers.

Based in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Fortis operates a network of 17 manufacturing sites, with more than 1,100 employees.

The company converts pressure-sensitive labels, including multi-ply coupons and booklets, flexible packaging printing, shrink sleeves, folding cartons, and label applicators.

Profecta owner Pierre Roberge said: “I am thrilled and look forward to teaming up with John and the Fortis group for this new chapter and continue our growth.”

The acquisition is in line with Fortis’ strategy to strengthen its product offerings and locations to better serve its customer.

Earlier this month, the company announced the acquisition of Label Tech, a provider of labels and flexible packaging.

In October last year, the managed funds and management of private equity firm Harvest Partners acquired Fortis Solutions from Main Post Partners.
