Chemical and consumer goods company Henkel has expanded its sustainable EPIX technology offering by extending to Europe.

Initially launched in the US, Henkel Adhesive Technologies’ new product technology platform offers paper as an alternative to single-use materials.

EPIX, which includes a portfolio of materials and chemistries, expands the functionality of paper.

It helps add extra properties like barrier protection against water, grease intrusion, thermal insulation and impact resistance to paper products.

These properties help improve the material’s experience for use as convenient alternative to plastic in disposable, on-the-go products such as paper straws, paper cups and food trays.

Additionally, it enhances experience in e-commerce packaging and paper mailers to deliver flexible, form-fitting and lower profile packaging options.
