US-based flexible packaging and material science company ProAmpac has acquired Canadian flexible packaging manufacturer Belle-Pak Packaging for an undisclosed sum.
Based in Ontario, Belle-Pak offers a wide range of packaging products, including packing list envelopes, custom medical and clinical bags, and poly mailers for online and logistics services.
The company operates from a 180,000ft² facility, where it employs more than 200 associates, and has distribution networks across North America and Mexico.
With this acquisition, ProAmpac aims to supply flexible packaging solutions to a wider range of customers across North America.
ProAmpac founder and CEO Greg Tucker said: “I am pleased to welcome the talented Belle-Pak team to ProAmpac as we continue our growth in Canada and embark on this exciting partnership.
“With Belle-Pak’s advanced technology and efficient manufacturing capabilities, our combined company will be well-positioned for continued growth and operational excellence.”
ProAmpac specialises in manufacturing flexible and sustainable packaging and material science solutions for various sectors, including consumer, healthcare, e-commerce, retail and industrial goods.
Owned by Pritzker Private Capital, the company supplies to more than 6,500 customers in 90 countries.
Belle-Pak is expected to help the company expand its offerings in the e-commerce, healthcare and logistics end markets, as well as increase its geographical footprint in Canada.
Belle-Pak CEO Yves Nahmias said: “Our strength in the e-commerce, logistics and healthcare end markets complements ProAmpac’s leadership in product innovation and manufacturing scale.
“ProAmpac’s culture, along with its partnership post-transaction, are the perfect match for the long-term success of Belle-Pak and its employees.
“Together, we will bring an unmatched portfolio of products to even more customers in our markets.”
In December last year, ProAmpac acquired flexible packaging and labelling company Prairie State Group for an undisclosed sum.
In 2020, the company expanded its Canadian operations by acquiring Rosenbloom Groupe Hymopack and Dyne-A-Pak.
