TIPA’s partnership with Ispak will make it the sole partner of Ispak Ambalaj for compostable packaging solutions in the Turkish market and enhance Ispak’s global offering.

The range of products offered by Ispak will now include high-barrier laminates made from clear and metallised TIPA materials.

The partnership aids Ispak’s goal to meet consumer demand for sustainable packaging. The company has reportedly developed a complete range of packaging that meets a variety of standards, including Zero Waste and ISO 14001. It also owns a “Save Food” Membership and explores waste management solutions such as Solvent Recovery Systems.

TIPA manufactures flexible compostable packaging and offers solutions for the entire supply chain. This includes films and laminates for packaging manufacturers and custom packaging applications for food and fashion brands.

In a previous interview with Packaging Gateway, TIPA said: “It is important to consider compostable plastics as another solution to reducing global warming. We cannot recycle our way out of plastic pollution.”

The partnership will allow both companies to expand geographically alongside their product portfolios and promote sustainable solutions to address the global plastic crisis.

Ispak general manager Hakan Koçoğlu said: “TIPA’s reputation for innovative packaging precedes them not only in Europe but globally. Collaborations such as this are needed to deliver both performance and environmental responsibility at scale and forge genuine solutions fit for a circular economy.”

TIPA CEO and co-founder Daphna Nissenbaum added: “At TIPA, partnering with industry leaders and expanding the business geographically are two core business goals. Working with an established company such as Ispak opens doors to combine our skills and amplify the voices supporting compostable solutions.”
