Koenig & Bauer has introduced the CutPRO 2.1, a flatbed die-cutting machine for corrugated board applications.
The system can handle sheet formats up to 1,300mm × 2,100mm and can run at speeds of as much as 7,000 sheets an hour.

It can process materials ranging from solid board to corrugated board.
Koenig & Bauer said gripper movements were aligned through Varioplan and Variolever technology, together with changes to the delivery and non-stop systems, to support steady material flow.
To reduce downtime linked to make-ready and maintenance, the machine includes an automatic chain tensioner, revised waste routing inside the die-cutter, and a safety feature for manual movement of the die-cutting unit.
It said the interface has been arranged to make onboarding simpler for new staff and to shorten training time.
Manual tasks have also been made easier, including a system that allows one operator to lift the upper frame safely.
For live production data review, the CutPRO 2.1 is linked to the myKyana software environment and uses AI-supported functions to provide and analyse production data, with the aim of reducing operating errors.
Koenig & Bauer plans to deliver and install the first alpha unit at a pilot customer site before the end of this year, after which prototype testing will begin in a live production setting to assess the machine’s practical performance and cost-effectiveness.
