According to the packaging firm, its production presence in Spain played a role in its choice by Chovi.
The closure is being deployed across Choví lines formulated for salads, barbecues, and snack pairings.
The product range covers La Brava, Allioli, Cheddar, Kebab White, Ajonesa, Barbacoa, Ketchup, César, Yogur, and Miel y Mostaza.
Choví Logistics director generalDavid Moya Aparicio said: “Amcor is a trusted partner of ours and the company has delivered a flip top closure that enhances the user experience.
“Amcor has delivered and with its local knowledge and manufacturing capabilities, we are proud to say that this innovation is made in Spain for a Spanish brand.”
Produced entirely from polypropylene using a bi-injection moulding method, the two-tone cap features a curved profile to aid on-shelf presentation and usability.
The sauce’s flow during dispensing is regulated via a built-in silicon valve.
Amcor sales Director Mirko Todeschi said: “We have created this unique closure to appeal to the consumer in a variety of ways. It is a fresh and exciting look for Choví, delivering shelf differentiation against rival sauce brands. Ease of use was key to the design, allowing the user to pour the sauce in a controlled way.”
Separately, last month, Amcor and Dow partnered to support brands and retailers in moving more quickly towards lower-carbon packaging.
The collaboration brings together Amcor’s packaging development and manufacturing capabilities with Dow’s polyethylene portfolio, materials science work and carbon footprint expertise.
