and are intended to help converters, distributors and brand owners choose paper grades according to application needs.
Grease-Gard PLUS combines grease resistance from the Grease-Gard range with increased resistance to water penetration.
The move is designed for recyclability and can serve as an alternative to wax-treated papers in food service uses where moisture or condensation is present.
According to Ahlstrom, the product is suited to converting, printing and maintaining package performance across wraps, bags and other food packaging formats.
Grease-Gard PRO is intended for higher-specification food service uses where strong grease resistance and heat retention are needed.
Ahlstrom said it was developed as a paper-based substitute for foil bags and wraps, with the aim of lowering aluminium use while preserving food quality, freshness and the end-user experience.
The Grease-Gard PRO line is suited to hot sandwiches, burgers, burritos and other grab-and-go items that need high-performance bags and wraps.

Last month, Ahlstrom introduced MaxLiner, a release paper designed for pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) label applications.
The paper is manufactured at the company’s Jacareí site in Brazil.
The new grade is intended to provide a locally available release liner option for customers in South America.
