US-based Evergreen Packaging has launched its new product line, SmartPak cartons, for use in various beverage sectors.

The new carton is available in 40oz, 48oz, 52oz and 59oz sizes.

SmartPak cartons are expected to offer scope for promotional content, as well as opportunities for lowering product and case costs.

The new range also provides sustainability, transportation and storage benefits.

Evergreen Packaging noted that the demand for variety in packaging sizes has increased in recent years.

More than 4,000 new beverages are reportedly introduced in the US every year, leading to an increase in demand for more size options on the retail shelf.

Part of the company’s FreshHouse line of cartons, the SmartPak cartons are made with more than 70% paper and designed to provide renewability, recyclability and reliability.

Evergreen Packaging has two paper mills, six converting plants, and an equipment design and manufacturing facility.

The company has operations in El Salvador, China, South Korea, and Taiwan, as well as joint ventures in the Middle East and North Africa.
