Packaging company Parkside has decided to expand its presence by collaborating with Australian-based PA Packaging Solutions and US-based Platinum Packaging Group.
The collaboration will help the UK-headquartered company to introduce Parkscribe, a new laser technology that is used to create re-closable packs, and Park-2-Nature, a compostable product portfolio, to international markets.
Parkside Sales director Paula Birch said: “With consistent growth in 2016, Parkside is paving the way for packaging innovation.
“The company is going from strength to strength and this move is the latest in the ongoing re-shaping of our business as a global speciality FMCG packaging provider.
“The diversity of our products is a real strength for Parkside and we are extending our reach to provide these innovative and market leading services on a global scale.”
The global flexible packaging market is expected to grow by 3.4% per annum until 2020 with sales reaching nearly $248bn, according to a recent report by a global authority on packaging Smithers Pira.
Parkside intends to use the opportunity to fulfil growing demand for its products.
Birch added: “Our strategic partnership with PA Packaging Solutions and The Platinum Packaging Group drives innovation and speeds up our delivery to market.
“Together with our US and Australian partners, we can deliver products that tick all the boxes for consumers in terms of convenience, shelf appeal and added value.”
With manufacturing sites located in the UK and Asia, Parkside focuses on delivering flexible packaging solutions to food, drink, medical, pharmaceutical, and personal care industry segments.
