Schreiner MediPharm has introduced a new version of its Flexi-Cap solution, which irreversibly indicates the first opening of containers, preventing them from being filled illegally.

The new Flexi-Cap for Clinical Trial Supplies (CTS) features a more reliable blinding for transparent containers used in clinical trials, as well as opaque-printed film caps and an integrated booklet-label.

A label and two opaque-printed CTS film caps can be completely wrapped around containers.

One cap encloses the container’s lid and upper part, while the second cap protects the bottom section.

"A tear strip integrated with the upper cap provides first-opening protection for containers, ensuring safety against any form of tampering."

The booklet-label affixes both caps to the container and provides ample space for product descriptions in multiple languages.

The solution is also suitable for temperature-sensitive substances.

CTS, which can be applied without heat, can also be adapted to protect multiple types of glass containers.

The company noted that the lid of the cap can be imprinted with codes or feature NFC chips for interactive applications.
