Gravity fillers, non-contact fillers, piston fillers and tub fillers
Icon Equipment can manufacture or directly supply fillers for all applications. We offer a range of filling machines ranging from gravity pressure, piston and air sensor fillers through to bag fillers and tri-bloc (rinser / filler / capper) combinations.
Icon Equipment will either engineer your system to meet your specific production requirements, or advise you of the machine which is best suited to your application.
Air filtration systems and guarding
The HEPA air filtration system blows filtered air into the filler-guarding enclosure and repels any airborne particles which may be present outside the guarding enclosure. The system is ideal when an extended shelf life is desired.
Machine guarding is a must to ensure the safety of your workers and your product. Icon Equipment can manufacture a full machine-mounted guarding complete with hinged doors. The clear Lexan panels are mounted within stainless-steel frames, and fixed panels and fully interlocked doors are added for protection, with wiring to the filler control box.
CIP components and auto CIP components
An integrated plumbing column complete with solid stainless-steel 316 piping is provided for cleaning of the filler product piping and spray tube, with turbo spray rotor for cleaning of the filler bowl.
The CIP ring is designed in two sections and constructed from 304 stainless-steel with manual shut-off valves provided. The ring is mounted on the pedestals and connected to the client’s CIP piping by the operator before cleaning. This system is suitable for use in conjunction with existing in-plant cleaning equipment.
Auto CIP components can be ordered with any filling machine available in the Icon Equipment range. Icon auto CIP allows the machine operator to flush and/or sanitise the machine at the push of a button.
Capping units – quick-change capping chucks and pick-n-place capping
Icon Equipment offers capping units featuring quick-change capping chucks that add versatility in changing cap size and containers. Snap caps, snap-screw and screw caps can be run on the same machine. Quick-change capping chucks also allow for capping of PET, HDPE or glass bottles on the same station, while tool-less change parts make changeover quick and easy. A neck support capper (NSC) that supports the bottle’s neck shoulder during the cap application is also available, which offers more control when capping lightweight PET bottles.
We also offer heat seal, ROPP, crown seal, pick-n-place and corking capping options. These cappers can be integrated on the filler or stand-alone type configuration to suit your particular requirements.
Foil heat-sealing cappers and foil presses
Icon Equipment’s foil heat-sealing capper has the following features:
- Individual head pressure control
- PLC controlled
- No cap or seal
- Individual temperature control and monitoring
- Heat settings for different bottles are programmed into machine memory
- Modular design for quick maintenance changeovers
- Can be retro-fitted to most filling machines
Icon Equipment’s foil capping press is suitable for medium to high speed applications. These machines are integrated with the filler to enable direct drive and control. Standalone bases can be provided depending on your requirements.
Cap sorting units, cap elevator and cap blower
Icon Equipment offers various cap sorting and cap feeding systems to suit the different and ever-changing cap types and sizes available in today’s market.
There are many different sorting units which have the capacity to sort flat, snap and sport caps in sizes ranging from 24mm to 90mm as well as oval caps of various sizes and application methods.
