Brazil’s packaging industry registered a 15.8% drop in IT hiring activity in December 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 0.33% in December 2021 when compared with November 2021.
Out of the packaging industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 1.95% share in December 2021, recording a decrease of 0.3% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Brazil’s packaging industry’s IT recruitment activity in December 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 102.63% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Brazil’s packaging industry in December 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 34.21% in December 2021, registering a 31.58% decline over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 31.58% share, a decrease of 20% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 21.05%, registering a flat growth from November 2021.
4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 10.53%, down 42.86% over the previous month.
Top five packaging companies in Brazil’s IT recruitment activity in December 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 10.34% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Brazil’s packaging industry during December 2021 over November 2021.
Alpargatas posted 13 IT jobs in December 2021 and registered a rise of 160% over the previous month, followed by BRF with 11 jobs and a 47.62% drop. Klabin with 4 IT jobs and Ball with 2 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 33.33% decrease, respectively, while Anheuser-Busch InBev recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during December 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in December 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 73.68%, down by 22.22% from November 2021. Entry Level positions with a 15.79% share, registered a decline of 14.29% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 10.53% share, down 20% over November 2021.
