Bosch Packaging Technology board of management member Stefan König said: “The aim is to ensure that all our machines feature the latest hardware and control technology, and also provide a consistent user guidance with the same comprehensible surface.

“Thereby, Bosch not only explores new horizons with regard to design but also sets a milestone for connected solutions in the processing and packaging industry.”

The HMI's touch-sensitive surface enables zooming in and swiping for easier navigation and data entry.

It offers an instant overview of all production parameters and data, has also been customised to fulfil various requirements of users.

König added: “The new HMI is already in use on first machines of several customers.”

Bosch is also planning to showcase the HMI at Pack Expo, which will be held in Chicago, US, from 6 November.
