In a statement, HarperLove said the transaction expands customer ties in major markets and strengthens HBM Holdings’ packaging adhesives operations.
The business being acquired brings a range of products used by corrugated box makers, including LBX, described as a borax and caustic substitute for starch batches.
It also includes CorrMax, additives aimed at improving performance; and WaterGuard, a brand of wet-strength resins.
HarperLove president and CEO Kenny Messer said: “This acquisition is a natural fit for HarperLove and another step forward in our long-term growth strategy.
“ChromaScape has built strong relationships with corrugators across key markets. By combining those relationships with HarperLove’s technical expertise, manufacturing capabilities, and commitment to customer service, we can deliver even greater value to our customers.”
The acquisition extends HarperLove’s presence in the corrugated packaging sector and increases its coverage across more regions.
Messer added: “We are excited to welcome these customers and look forward to adding new capabilities and talent to the HarperLove team.
