LyondellBasell has completed an acquisition of A. Schulman for $2.25bn.
US-based manufacturer A. Schulman supplies high-performance plastic compounds, composites and resins, while LyondellBasell is a chemical company based in the Netherlands.

A. Schulman will now operate as a stand-alone reporting business named Advanced Polymer Solutions. It will add new products to LyondellBasell’s existing compounding business, including engineered composites, powders and masterbatches.
The new business will combine LyondellBasell’s existing polypropylene compounding (PPC) assets and A. Schulman’s assets, polybutene-1 resins, and Catalloy thermoplastic resins.
AWT Labels and Packaging has acquired Citation Clinical Labeling Systems.
Citation is a clinical trial label provider for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies based in Hauppauge, New York, US.

Paragon Label has been acquired by Resource Label Group, a designer and manufacturer of pressure-sensitive labels for the packaging industry.
Paragon Label is involved in the supply of labelling solutions and flexographic and digital printing capabilities for the wine, food, health and beauty sectors.
The acquisition will help expand Resource Label’s operational expertise and technical support.
Both the companies involved in the transaction are based in the US.
Advent International plans to acquire a majority stake in Manjushree Technopack for Rs23bn ($330m).
Based in India, Manjushree provides plastic packaging solutions to various industries, while Advent International is a private equity firm based in the US.
Manjushree produces injection stretch blow moulding for polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles, extrusion blow moulding for high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and polypropylene (PP) bottles, barrier co-extrusion moulding and injection moulding.
