Switzerland-headquartered packaging solutions provider SIG has been chosen to provide its advanced filling machines to Milky Mist Dairy Food, a South India-based dairy product manufacturer.
As part of this deal, SIG will deliver and install its three filling machines at Milky Mist’s manufacturing plant near the city of Erode, Tamil Nadu.

The machines are classified as the SIG SmileSmall 24 Aseptic, SIG Midi 12 Aseptic, and SIG XSlim 12 Aseptic models.
The dairy products manufacturer will leverage SIG’s filling machines to boost its existing output, as well as expand its offerings and deliver enhanced packaging solutions to consumers across India.

SIG said that its three flexible and high-speed machines will help Milky Mist to address the various packaging requirements of its customers such as formats, volumes, and designs.

By GlobalDataMilky Mist will use the SIG Midi 12 Aseptic machine to fill approximately 12,000 SIG MidiBlocacks in three different volume sizes, including 500ml, 750ml, and 1,000ml, every hour.
The SIG XSlim 12 Aseptic machine meanwhile, will allow Milky Mist to launch its dairy products in SIG XSlimBloc carton packs.
These XSlimBloc packs will be available in nine different volumes, starting from 80ml up to 200ml, to address the requirements of diverse consumer groups in the country and cover different price points.
Milky Mist will use SIG’s third model, SIG SmileSmall 24, primarily for its premium product segment. SmileSmall 24 can fill 24,000 carton packs per hour, covering a volume range between 180ml and 250ml.
