CPS’s articulating suction head in its CLP Pick and Place unit has been nominated in the Innovation Technique category of the Packaging Awards 2019.

On Thursday 16 May, Nieuwegein will announce whether the company has been able to translate this nomination into the prized innovation award.

With the articulating head, it is possible to place high-speed trays in a cardboard tray and/or crate with overlap of the tray.

Trays must be placed on top of each other and placed under the shoulders of the crate in one movement.

The articulating head has been developed. It is particularly important that different types of product trays can be packaged in different types of product carriers with one case packer.

This is a cardboard tray with carrying shoulders, as well as a crate. This requires a special movement developed with the articulating head.
