Our white-coated liner particularly impresses with its printability and smoothness in combination with the best gloss and perfect laminating properties. Mayr-Melnhof Karton liner gives packaged or displayed products an outstanding brand appearance at the point of sale. The latest innovation, MM X-Liner aqua-fit, has the added benefit of excellent moisture protection. This flexoliner is prepared with a moisture barrier on the top and reverse layer (cobb value 100gsm, 1,800s), which greatly limits water absorption. MM X-Liner aqua-fit is ideal for use in corrugated packaging that comes into contact with moisture through the supply chain, for example vegetable and fruit trays.
A box compression test (BCT) according to DIN 55 440-1 was carried out to determine compression resistance. The BCT value is therefore a measure of the stability of packaging. A box produced with MM X-Liner aqua-fit and a packaging manufactured with a coated kraftliner were compared. The result speaks volumes for the quality of Mayr-Melnhof Karton: in a moist and cool environment, which is generally the case for the storage of fruit and vegetables, the MM X-Liner aqua-fit box far surpassed the kraftliner packaging.
Outstanding quality also requires outstanding presentation.
