Leading fresh-food packaging manufacturer LINPAC has given the careers of local students a boost by supporting a series of apprenticeships in customer services.
LINPAC customer services apprentices Jack Hall and Jack Lennox successfully graduated from the Technical Apprenticeship Scheme this year to take up positions with the company as key account manager and customer services adviser respectively.
Elysia Rogers, an A-Level student from St Wilfrid’s Catholic High School and Sixth Form College in Featherstone, West Yorkshire, the location of LINPAC UK headquarters, now succeeds the successful apprentices as LINPAC customer services advisor apprentice. Elysia is also undertaking online studies through Bradford College to support her development.
St Wilfrid’s careers adviser Sarah Cooper commented: "This is an amazing opportunity for Elysia, who will now undergo a two-year programme of online modules in conjunction with her work experience with LINPAC. Elysia’s apprenticeship should serve as an inspiration to the next generation of students looking to build on successful A-Level results with local vocational opportunities."
LINPAC UK commercial manager Louise Glover said: "Following a conversation with Sarah to discuss our apprenticeship scheme, we quickly identified Elysia as a potential candidate. I’m delighted to say that she interviewed extremely well and is proving to be a fabulous addition to the LINPAC customer services team.
"We’re proud to support the local community and this has been a great result for all concerned. We’ll continue to work with Elysia to reinforce her studies and I’m sure she has a promising career in packaging ahead of her, should she choose to pursue it."
